China will be launched in July this year on public building energy conservation design standard. 26th in Beijing held a press conference of Ministry of construction, China officially announced the standard.
According to Vice Minister of construction Huang Wei, introduction and implementation of such standards is an important part of developing energy-efficient public buildings in China initiative. He said that at present, the Chinese civilian housing completed each year in the city there are quite a few public buildings, and large public buildings energy consumption alarming, its energy consumption per unit area is often reached about 10 times of ordinary residential buildings. China launched the design standard for energy efficiency of public buildings, is the need to control public buildings for heating, lighting and air conditioning system energy consumption, strive to reduce the total energy consumption of public buildings in half.
